After a wave of mysterious tremors and surface sinkholes, the FF track the source deep underground and run into the Mole Man and his monster hordes. He’s using a seismic device to force the surface world to leave him alone—no matter the collateral damage. Reed works to disable the machine while Ben and Johnny fight through caverns packed with Moloids and burrowing beasts; Sue holds the tunnels together with force fields long enough for an evacuation. In the end the FF shut the device down and pull survivors to safety, leaving the Mole Man brooding in the dark and vowing to return.
