What you need to know about comic book pressing
For those of us that have been buying, selling, and collecting comics, most are probably familiar with comic book pressing. It's been a part of the hobby for quite some time now, yet it's only become mainstream in recent years. If done properly it can vastly improve the overall appearance of many comic books.
We are happy to announce that we are now offering this service to more than just our local walk-in customers. We offer experienced and professional work, competitive pricing, and quick turn around times. You can submit your comics on-line or in person for your convenience.
The Good
Many books we press will instantly increase in overall appearance and value, from a modest amount to thousands of dollars, and we do it every day.
We also dry clean many books without over doing it. Aggressively cleaned books will result in damages and at times garner a green label from CGC.
The Bad
Not all books improve that much, or sometimes at all. You may have a CGC graded book that gets opened from the case, pressed, and resubmitted, only to see the same grade or even lower.

Some books have memory problems. They look great after pressing but over time that bend or wrinkle creeps back.
You rarely see info from comic pressing sites that warn you of potential damage happening. This may be minor or major. Regardless of experience, these things happen from time to time. A color rub, pages sticking together, and staples popping, spine splits, etc. These are potential hazards that you need to be aware of.
The Difference
Where are you sending your comics? And to who? There are quite a few people pressing books these days, but who are they? Where are they? Why are they charging as much as $800 per book???
We are a bit more transparent. We own and operate a retail comic location where you may send your books or drop them off in person. Over the last seven years we have pressed thousands of comics and achieved subtle to substantial improvements on almost all of them.
Some books will require multiple presses as we want it to improve as much as it can.
If we assess any of your books and we feel they wouldn't improve (at least somewhat) we will not press them just to take your money.
Our fee structure is simple, and as follows: $15 for a basic press and $25 for a press and dry clean. No gimmicks, hidden fee's, or "fair market value" upcharges.
-You will not be charged during checkout. We will invoice you after we have finished pressing your books.
-Print submission form and send it to us packed with your comics.
