#127 (Aug–Sept 1952) is the first issue after the title switched from All-American Western to the war-anthology All-American Men of War. It presents four short WWII tales: “Unknown Marine,” about a nameless GI who repeatedly saves a buddy before disappearing back into the ranks; “Jump-Off at Veendam,” where an Airborne unit races to protect Dutch dikes from Nazi sabotage during the late-1944 advance; “No Medal for a Medic!,” spotlighting a battlefield corpsman’s unrecognized heroism; and “Tank Destroyer!,” following a TD crew facing enemy armor. The issue features stories by Robert Kanigher, Dave Wood, Ed Murphy, and Jack Lehti, with art by Irv Novick, Mort Drucker, Irwin Hasen, and Frank Giacoia. After #128 the series restarted numbering with #2.
